Infrastructure as an asset class for Directors
- April 15, 2021
As ultimate decision-makers, the Board of Directors of every company has ultimate responsibility for governance. Notably, directors have an important role to play in ensuring effectiveness of corporate decision towards the sustainability of the business and the broader ecosystem.
In recognition of this fact and feedback from surveys, we are increasing the scope and coverage of our capacity building and knowledge exchange programme, with particular focus on the leadership of strategic stakeholders and market decision-makers.
To this end, in collaboration with the Pension Funds Operators Association of Benin and across the globe (PenOp ). Equitysct held a two-day workshop in April 2021 on “Infrastructure as an Asset Class” for the directors of four (4) Pension Fund institutions; including three PFAs and a PFC.
The workshop, which was facilitated by Margaret Osius, had fifteen participants across the four institutions. The session focused on the characteristics of infrastructure assets, risk analysis & mitigation, risk ranking and case studies of power and transportation assets.
This session is the second of the “Infrastructure as an Asset Class” capacity building and knowledge exchange series for Board members of target institutions
